MULTAN: Police arrested 59 outlaws here on Saturday and recovered drugs and illegal weapons from their possession.
According to police source, police teams arrested 13 drug peddlers and two illegal weapon holders besides recovering 45 liter liquor, 950 gram hashish, 110 gram opium, 7 kg hemp, two pistols and bullets from their alleged possession. Eight gamblers were also arrested by the teams with stake money of Rs 2460 and gambling stuff.
The police teams also apprehended 19 proclaimed offenders wanted in different cases of dacoity, robbery, theft etc. Meanwhile, seven persons were held for violating Punjab Tenancy Act and 10 drivers arrested for violating traffic rules. Separate cases have been registered against the accused.
