SRINAGAR: In yet another blatant attack on hospitals, the police on Saturday evening fired pellets, teargas shells and grenades inside district hospital Anantnag.
Sources told Rising Kashmir that people were seen running for cover not to get hit by pellets. However, no one was injured in the incident.
The firing came after the Central Reserve Police Force – largest of Indian Central Armed Police Forces and functions under the Ministry of Home Affairs – threw stones at the hospital.
Meanwhile, three youth were injured in protests in Kawdara and Natipora areas of Srinagar. Police sources confirmed that two youth were hit by pellets in Kawdara and one in Natipora on Saturday evening when they clashed with government forces.
Natiporan youth has been identified as Aqeel, who has been shifted to SMHS Hospital and is said to be in critical state while the two from Kawdara area are said to be stable.
